and experienced group leader guide every pilgrimage. Each program
offers a specialized itinerary including daily Mass, prayer in the
Grotto, an opportunity to visit the Baths, the Message of Lourdes,

****Pilgrimage Types explained below. |
Hospitalité Service: Adult volunteers
must be in good health and between the ages of 18-65 to officially
serve the Hospitalite Notre-Dame de Lourdes. Senior volunteers
(age 65+) in good health can offer daily service, subject to
ability and Sanctuaries needs. A reference letter from a Priest or
Pastor is required and all volunteers are expected to serve the
Sanctuaries at Lourdes for 6 consecutive days. Uniform required.

Youth Service: Youth volunteers are
between the ages of 14-18 and accompanied by chaperones in a 4:1
ratio of supervised service. |
Student Volunteer Service: School,
college and university pilgrimages are open to students, faculty,
administrators, families and alumni. |
Pilgrimage Service: Medical professionals, lay Companions and Caregivers
are needed to assist sick and handicapped pilgrims who join us on
a Special Needs Pilgrimage. |
Special Needs Pilgrimage: An
opportunity for the sick, elderly, handicapped and those with
special needs to make a spiritual journey to Lourdes with a
physician escort and supportive medical care assistance
provided. |
Military Pilgrimage: An opportunity
for active or reserve duty and retired military personnel and
families, especially wounded and veterans and those with special
needs, to make a spiritual journey with a Military Chaplain and
supportive medical care assistance provided with a Medical Command
Officer. |
